Shankhpushpi Capsules are prepared using standardised extract of Convolvulus pluricaulis. It belongs to Convolvulaceae or trivrit kula as per ancient ayurvedic texts. It has a bitter taste with unctuous, oily and viscous properties. Acharya charak classified it as one of the best Medhya rasayan in their text due to its sheeta veerya and assists in managing Pitta and kapha dosha. Shankhpushpi is medhya, rasayanam, kasajit, Chardihara, vrushya, manasarogahrut, kantida and sara, thus aids in managing good neurological health.
